International Olympiad of Philosophy in Iasi

Record number of participants at the International Olympiad of Philosophy, which takes place in Iasi.
At the 16th edition of the competition there are present 53 pupils and 43 teachers from 23 countries.
The theme of debates and round tables from this edition is: "philosophy, space for a dialogue of cultures" in the context of declaring 2008 as European Year of Intercultural Dialogue.

With events lie this Iasi can reclaim the title of important cultural center in Eastern Europe.
